Pick your deck, then tap the matching tile whenever someone plays a card

How to play

  1. How do I use the card counter?: Pick the deck your table plays with: one deck with jokers, two decks, one deck without jokers, a 48-card deck, four decks, or one deck by suit for bridge-style games. The screen shows one tile per rank with the number still out. When someone plays a 7, tap the 7 tile and its count drops from 4 to 3.
  2. How do I record a pair, a bomb or a straight in one go?: Choose how many cards before tapping: pick 2 then tap 7 for a pair of sevens, 4 for four of a kind, or All to take everything left on that tile. For a straight turn on Run, tap the first rank and then the last — tap 3 then 7 and every rank from 3 to 7 drops by one. The count goes back to 1 after each entry.
  3. How do I track my own hand and who played what?: Tap My hand, tap through the cards you are holding, then tap Done — those cards no longer count as out. To see who played what, open the menu and turn on seats (2–6). Tap Next after each player; every seat tag shows how many cards that player has played, and the log groups plays by turn.
  4. How do I fix a mistake or start the next hand?: Tap Undo to take back the last entry — a whole pair or straight comes back in one tap. For an older mistake open the Log and delete that line. When the hand is over tap New hand: every tile resets, the deck and seats stay, and for 5 seconds you can still bring the last hand back.

Rules & variants

The counter splits the deck into three piles: out (not yet played and not in your hand), your hand (cards you registered) and played. Every card is in exactly one pile, and the three always add up to the full deck. The big number on a tile is how many of that rank are still out; a row of beads goes dark one by one, and the tile flips face down when none are left.

Six presets cover the common decks: one deck with jokers (54 cards), two decks with jokers (108), one deck without jokers (52), a 48-card deck (three 2s and one ace removed, as in the classic Chinese shedding game), four decks with jokers (216), and one deck counted by suit for bridge, hearts, spades and euchre-style trick games. Custom lets you set 1–4 decks, jokers on or off, by rank or by suit, and fine-tune how many of each rank the deck holds.

By rank, each rank has one tile and the two jokers have one each — right for climbing games like Big Two or President where suits do not matter. By suit, every single card has a tile; a small 4×13 map shows the whole deck at once and each suit tab shows how many of that suit are still out — right for trick-taking games where you need to know who is void.

One entry can be a whole play: pick 2, 3 or 4 for a pair, triple or four of a kind; Run goes from 3 up to ace, and 2s and jokers cannot be part of it. A run counts as a single log line, so one undo takes back the whole play. If there are not enough cards out, nothing is recorded and the status line tells you why, for example “Only 1 × 7 left out”.

When the last joker, 2 or ace goes, a banner slides across the top (“No 2s left out”) and the tile keeps a “gone” stamp; in suit view you get “No ♥ left out” when a suit runs dry. When every card is accounted for, a summary card shows how many plays you logged.

The “might be a bomb” spark is only a counting hint: nobody has played that rank yet, at least four are still out, and a third of the deck is gone. It does not mean anyone holds four of a kind — the page never guesses hands or suggests plays.

Fair play: the counter only counts the cards you tap. It does not read the screen or other apps and needs no connection. Agree with your table before using a phone at a real game. For fun and memory practice only — no real money involved.

FAQ

How do you count cards in Hearts?
Counting cards in Hearts means tracking which hearts and the queen of spades are still out, and which suits each player is void in. Pick the by-suit preset: the heart tab shows how many hearts remain, the 4×13 map shows whether the queen of spades has fallen, and with seats on the log shows who stopped following suit.
How do you remember which cards have been played in Bridge?
Bridge players count each suit down from 13 as tricks are played instead of memorizing every card. With the by-suit preset each suit tab counts down for you and the small map shows exactly which honours are gone; tap a card as it hits the table and check the tabs before you plan the next trick.
How do you keep track of cards in a two-deck game?
In a two-deck game there are eight of every rank and two of each joker, which is hard to track in your head. Use the two-decks-with-jokers preset: each tile shows how many of that rank are still out with a thin bar, and pairs or bombs go in with one tap after picking 2, 3 or 4.
What are the best tips for counting cards in card games?
The best card counting tip is to track only the cards that decide the hand — jokers, 2s, aces and possible bombs — rather than every card. Practise by tapping every play into the counter during a few games, then try recalling what is gone before you look, and narrow down to the key cards once that feels easy.
Can you undo a mistake in a card counter?
Yes — tap Undo to take back the last entry, and a pair, bomb or straight comes back as one whole play. Older mistakes can be deleted from the log one line at a time; if removing a line would make a later entry impossible, the page explains which one and asks you to delete that first.
How many cards are in a deck for Big Two, Spades or Euchre?
Big Two and Spades use one standard 52-card deck without jokers, while Euchre uses a short 24-card deck (9 through ace). Pick one deck without jokers for Big Two, by suit for Spades, and use Custom to set the 9s through aces only for Euchre — set every lower rank to zero in Fine-tune.
